'Arc the Lad' Reaches PSN Europe for the First Time

Last August, SCEE gave the news that several classics of PSone in USA and Japan released in Europe thanks to Playstation Network. Many received the news with joy, and just yesterday began this new PSN (Playstation) section on import of PSone games.

But unfortunately Sony has not started on the right foot, and I I have already brought the first major disappointment to check the first three titles that have reached us. Not by its quality, but for another reason, you will discover very soon. All three are: 'Cho Aniki', ' Arcade Hits: Sonic Wings Special' and ' Arc the Lad', being the last that confronts us because of their greater relevance. At least for me, since it is part of a trilogy of SRPG that never stepped on our territory, being the only delivery we have received in Europe the ' Arc: Twilight of the souls ' of PS2.

Each of these three will cost 4.99 Euros, and in the case of the 'Arc the Lad', if we are members of Playstation Plus not cost us anything. But if I advance of "disappointment" is a flagrant mistake to have it published in Japanese. Yes, as sounds. We have not received version NTSC USA, but the Japanese, and therefore with the texts in Japanese. I will say how you eat that. Not to mention that both he and many others have received translation into our language thanks to a large community of fans devoted to this task.

A pity, therefore, that the arrival of the Shining Force of PSone, what I usually call also, see marred by have been incomprehensibly in a language that very, but very few master in Spain. In English it would be logical, in Spanish would be ideal. But this won't happen. All imported arriving we will do so in their original language. But Sony, pleases, if a title was released in the US, bring us so in English, not us bring its Japanese version because in this way we not hog anything.

At least to the members of Playstation Plus this 'Arc the Lad' it does not cost anything, but hopefully that Sony take note of the complaints and also brings us his American version. Update: as says Roy Ramker, everything has been due to an error by Monkey Paw Games. The version that we should have arrived was the English, but there has been a failure and have received the Japanese. The team is already working to fix it, so sooner or later we will see this ' Arc the Lad' in perfect English.
