This We Know About Battlefield 3

One thing is certain and that is that Battlefield 3 is so close but still feels so far away. The game will be released on 25th October this year and has a betaTest which starts this September. Until then, we here at PS3Sverige a lot of information about the game's multiplayer, which I think you will be very pleased to take part.

Classes

We start with the different classes, they look like the following:

• Assault: Assault rifle-type weapons, defibrillator, gun
• Engineer: SMG-type weapon, RPG, Repair Tool, Gun.
• Support: LMG-type weapons, bi-pod, ammobox, gun.
• Spec-ops/recon: Sniper rifle-type weapons, C4 and gun.

What you will notice is that the "medic" class no longer exists, anyway not in the tradition of the New Battlefield: Bad Company 2. The developers at DICE chose to make the Assault class more meaningful and gave it a defibrillator to act medic and revive their teammates. Sniper class now has neither a ghuille suit, exercise balls, or access to air support (mortar strikes). Support class is the muscles in your martial set design and gives his teammates ammoboxar but also a strong fire support with their LMG with a bi-pod that can be placed on just about everything in the environment, such as bonnets of cars or if you choose to be in a prone position while you cover a narrow alley.

In Battlefield 3 so you have the options like before to be part of a team / squad. Nowadays, you can only spawn at your team leader - which is appointed dynamically to how the battle looks like, or to the person who is ultimately left in the life of everyone in the group. So far we do not know if the leader has some advantages on the battlefield or exactly what criteria are to be appointed as team leaders but we do know is that he has a great responsibility to stay alive and be in the right place at the right time!

Weapons

Recoil is inevitable in a real weapon, and also in Battlefield 3, so be gentle with the trigger and do not expect a victory with a pay-and-spray tactics. Most weapons in the game give you a choice between semi, auto, or fully-automatic fire. It takes four bullets to the body to kill someone and a shot to the head. According to DICE, there are hundreds of ways to customize your weapons and what we've seen so far is a different kind of vision and a flashlight that you attach to the rails on your gun, which in turn can dazzle your enemy. My guess is that we will be able to switch to different type of silencer, magazine and logs. In Bad Company 2, it was your knife a workhorse in the most panicky situations, but also a way to silence your opponents when you sneaked up behind him. In Battlefield 3, you can only kill an opponent with the knife from behind, so no more knife dances do not! Another thing that came with this whole knife-tradition of the BC2 was that you got your enemy's dogtag (badge) when you stuck the knife in him. I do know that I have a large collection of dogtags in BC2 as I grin when I go through my stats. Hursom, I lost the thread - in Battlefield 3 so you can tailor your dogtag with the clan name and also your unique design. A welcome feature in my opinion!

Vehicles

Vehicles have always been a big part of the Battlefield series and there are a lot of vehicles in Battlefield third Here are the vehicles we know will be featured in the game but not necessarily all in multiplayer:

• HMVEE "Hummer"
• LAV-25
• M1A2 Abrams
• T-90
• MH-6 Little Bird "Killer Egg"
• AH-64 Apache
• BMP-2
• 2K22M Tunguska
• UH-1Y "Super Huey"
• UH-60 Blackhawk
• F-16 (only PC)
• SU-35 Flanker E (only PC)
• F/A-18 Super Hornet (only PC)

A lot of new vehicles to get acquainted with but a few old friends, and for my part, an old friend who I spent scandalously long hours in: UH-60 Blackhawk.

Another powerful piece will return - artillerist. Information if it is a bit blurry at the moment, but it is leaning towards you will be manning it because you can no longer summon a artillery in BFBC2. Most vehicles can accommodate more than one player, like the LAV: one carrying the to 6 soldiers, including a driver, two gunners and the rest passengers. LAV: one is also equipped with night vision (night vision).

We can expect night vision to the heavier ground vehicles such as M1A2 tanks that use it in the gameplay demo we saw in Electronic Art's E3 press conference 2011th.

To add is that vehicles can be immobilized before they are destroyed completely, so for example a tank become immobilized to be completely stationary, but still able to use their gun or MG.

Miscellaneous

Other information I have read is that in "Rush", you can only destroy the M-COM boxers through to reinforce them. That is, you can no longer destroy an M-COM with C4 RPG'S or artillery. To reinforce equal to 100 points, the detonation is 200 points and an assistant is 50 points. The time for an M-COM to detonate is now also shorter. Cinematic cut scenes / cutscenes takes place after an assignment has been implemented, like the "Operations" in Killzone third

Appearance-wise so they feel that playing the game that Battlefield 3 is a cross between Battlefield 2, Battlefield: Bad Company 2 and Medal Of Honor. The latter is most evident in the game menus. Killcams was turned off during multiplayer sessions at this year's E3 in 2011 but nothing has been confirmed by DICE, if so, in the final product. The possibility of refusing to be revived there now for a player when he is shot down. He is also able to use his gun and take revenge against his enemy from a lying position.

PlayStation 3 version of Battlefield 3 has not been shown up particularly well, but I attached a video below where the two sections of the trailer show scenes from the PS3 version. It is worth mentioning also that the PS3 version is of 1280 × 704 with MLAA (Morphological Anti-aliasing).
