Star Wars: The Old Republic

Perhaps the most anticipated game of the Star Wars saga is already about to candy: 'Star Wars: The Old Republic' will be released in December of more than 3 years after having been submitted and all the betting on the 'World of Warcraft' model: game massively role-playing and online, but with the flavor of the Galactic saga of George Lucas behind.

Do not lack ambition to their creators, with EA to lead a project that Bioware and LucasArts have worked side by side. We are talking about the holy man of the Triples online, a game whose budget has exceeded $ 125 million and that will need to convince the users in a complicated area. Let us see what offer to do so.

'The Old Republic': Impression

The first incentive is clear, the universe in which it is set. Say 'Star Wars' remains today guarantee of success, despite the fact that the cow that Lucas is milking more than 30 years now is little milk.

The good news here is that this time we not go back to the episodes of the series: 'The Old Republic' will be placed more than 3,500 years before the birth of Luke Skywalker and only 300 years after the events of ' Star Wars: Knights of The Old Republic', which not only in setting but also possibilities will be the game in which 'The Old Republic' look.

And thus laying the foundations for this new chapter: Siths and Jedi are a few years of truce after the great war, in which 28 years both factions clashed causing the disappearance of numerous star systems and ending with the withdrawal of all the Jedi. Star Wars, in which none of the contestants wants a great conflict, but cannot leave face is the "cold war" of the universe.

What will happen in the game is a mystery, though Bioware has been advised that it wants an MMORPG to give special attention to the script.

The new Star Wars MMORPG gameplay

To start playing to 'Star Wars: The Old Republic', will have to decide what side we want to belong, if the Siths or the Jedi, which will determine our plot lines. However, as it is the case in other Bioware games, inside it we will have to face other decisions to the morality of the character, so that not everything is black or white, but it also has space for a wide range of ambiguity.

Clashes between ships whose idea you can see in the next trailer will be space for fighting body to body, or with close range weapons, but also for the concept of "space war", in the game:

As you can see, is a concept similar to 'Afterburner': will control the movement left and right and up/down as well as weapons, but not the speed of the ship or other external factors.

Another interesting point of the game will be companions, NPCs that will help us to gain resources while we focus on the main or secondary missions which we want to cover:

Classes in ‘The Old Republic’

Like all role-playing game self-respecting (except 'Skyrim', which has opted to dispense with them), in 'The Old Republic' will have special importance our character classes. Each side has four of them.

Classes of the Republic:

* Soldier
* Smuggler
* Jedi Knight
* Jedi Consular

Classes of the Empire:

* Bounty Hunter
* Imperial agent
* Warrior Sith
* Inquisitor Sith.

Each of these classes will have a different storyline, and also included two specializations, so that in total we will have 16 types of different characters in this first wave of the game. In addition, class we choose will be which define what ships can fly in the first place.

Date of launch, price and trailer

Star Wars: The Old Republic' will go on sale December 20 in the US. Each copy of the game will include subscription for 30 days to the MMORPG and then may opt for three different tariffs:

* Subscription 1 month: 12, 99 EURO
* 3 months: 35, 97 EURO
* 6 months: 65, 94 EURO approximately

Over the years, since 2008 announced the game, several have been trailers that Bioware and LucasArts have taught us: one of the most spectacular was the last E3.

Three will be issues that will be launched ' Star Wars: The Old Republic', all these juicy for a game that promises to be at the height of what has been occurring.

'Dark Souls' Completed In Little Less Than Half an Hour: Terrifying speedrun

If someone asks you for the more difficult game to which have laid you their hands on recently, I am sure that many will say that, without a doubt, this is 'Dark Souls', the RPG Namco Bandai developed by From Software action. As well, ye know that a type calling himself SexyShoiko laugh on your face if you heard say that.

He has in fact already laughed all Dark Souls passing in a time of 1 hour, 26 minutes and 28 seconds. In Kotaku we are not going by putting every Speedrun that goes out there, but we must recognize that the kid is what has worked. A few days ago we were seeing a trailer for the game intended to remind us of its difficulty and it is that there is a guy in little less than an hour and a half is it airing.

Here below you will find seven videos in which SexyShoiko has divided this surprising speedrun of 'Dark Souls' . Needless to say that if you want to avoid any kind of spoiler best thing is that you forget all this and go to something else.

'Dragon's Dogma' Story and Gameplay Trailer - The Western Rpg CAPCOM [TGS 2011]

Japan is creatively bankrupt. It is not me, say it themselves. The decline of companies like Square Enix failed to blockbusters such as 'Final Fantasy XIII' seems to support such a risky statement. The core of quality seems to opt for Western industry, well established and very sure of its possibilities.

A demonstration of this shift occurs is increasingly common, Japanese franchise transfer to Western development teams. Franchises that until recently was untouched by someone who had no slit eyes. The Spanish affair between Konami and MercurySteam, Which gave a strong and healthy son named Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, is the most famous case of close. But the thing is not there, 'Dragon's Dogma' is an ambitious Western-style rpg developed by CAPCOM. If we are dry of ideas, why not accept our absorbing the opponent's defeat?

'Dragon's Dogma' commitment to a European medieval setting for a fantasy world where dragons but close and other mythological creatures rub shoulders with castles and feudal lords. We can define the features of our protagonist, real-time engagement supported by fellow adventurers. The world will be open and huge, to feel that sense of something incomprehensible that cries out to be explored. Of course, our actions will determine what we will end at the end of our journey.

They are elements that are used to seeing here in the name of 'The Elder Scroll', 'Dragon Age', 'The Witcher', 'Gothic'... Maybe too much direct competition and too much quality for a novice in these conflicts. That's where Japanese differentiation in small details like climbing turn to the beast of looking weak point. We'll see if we find an original product can make us forget, even for a moment, like freaks 'The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim'.

What I find curious is that Eastern accepted defeat in general and assumed the death of JRPG in particular, 'Xenoblade Chronicles' release in the West to prove just the opposite, not to mention the imminent 'Dark Souls', Role-playing game promises to be the nightmare of the most seasoned hardcore gamer. Does the Japanese industry of interactive entertainment killing dies? Or simply that there are no absolute truths and just talk about cycles? For now I'm going to keep giving 'Xenoblade Chronicles', Which has proved one of the best JRPG the last decade. Blessed decline.

Fire Emblem 3DS: Trailer and Video With Gameplay (TGS 2011)

Few days have passed after the confirmation of which `Fire Emblem 3DS' was developing. The news that personally hoped like May water, since this saga of Intelligent Systems enchants to me. Since some user has said, now only lacking who arrives new to us Advance Wars and we will already have the perfect stand for casks.

But meanwhile the last one does not arrive we have to do more on first, and is indeed what we are going to do. First with its official trailer (in Japanese), and later with a video of gameplay. In both we can see one of the new features of this delivery, and she is not other than the joint attack. This one will be qualified when a companion is to our side and is within the rank of attack of the rival. For example, if we go with our Lord, and just behind ours we have a magician, when attacking the enemy our magician also will send a fireball to its maximum effectiveness.

If you wait for this `Fire Emblem 3DS' for Christmas, I feel disappointed, because it is not going to us to still arrive. It gives me that the European we are going to have to wait for much, since until the spring of the 2012 will not leave in Japan, so… Patience. That certainly as much delay will be worth the trouble.
